UC Berkeley-born group makes dance more accessible

In 2019, Tess Hanson ’19 and Yağmur Halezeroğlu ’19 placed second in UC Berkeley’s Big Ideas contest, which funds student teams with transformative solutions to real-world problems. Their winning idea is now Dance for All Bodies (DfAB), a thriving nonprofit that organizes free, inclusive dance classes for people with disabilities. Serving over 1,000 people in 2020, DfAB is bringing the joy of movement to people of every ability.
