The Center for Connected Learning — Nothing like it at Berkeley

“For a change, this is not a structure built to house a department or function. It is a facility built to serve an idea: a transformational vision of the purpose and potential of the library as a place of gathering, instruction, access to resources, and self-enhancement. There is nothing like it at Berkeley today.” — Bob Haas ’64

The Center for Connected Learning at Moffitt Library will be a “collider space” where students flow between multimedia classrooms, collaborative project spaces, hands-on studios, and peer-to-peer and expert consultation — all within the same building. Students will have access to one-stop consultation on retrieval, evaluation, and use of advanced information resources, tech support, and the skills required for 21st-century information literacy.
