Light the Way: The Campaign for Berkeley

Grace O’Connell, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Don M. Cunningham Endowed Professor at Berkeley, knew that she and her students could contribute to the COVID-19 ventilator crisis. Armed with Berkeley alumnus support and donated sleep apnea machines, Grace and her group came up with an innovative and cheap solution to provide breathing support to hospitals and clinics facing ventilator shortages.
